Adam Kennedy rocketed 2 homeruns as the Tombstone Huckleberries defeated the
Lewisville Fire Ants 5 to 4 at the ballpark.
Tombstone wasted no time and took the lead in the first inning scoring a
single run using 2 hits. Lewisville made it exciting in the 9th, but they
were unable to push the needed runs across.
Roy Halladay(11-2) got the win allowing 4 runs in 8 and 1/3 innings. Troy
Percival got the save, his 15th. Brian Lawrence(8-8) ended up with the loss.
He served up 3 gopher balls in 7 and 1/3 innings.
Doug Salzwedel was in a talkative mood in the clubhouse, 'Great game! If only
we could win all of the close ones - wouldn't that be nice! Since that's not
going to happen, I think I'll savor this one for a little while.'
